This Privacy Policy explains how E26 Media Private Limited (“E26 Media”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Madrasa Management App — Student / Parent Module (the “App”).

The App helps parents and guardians stay updated with their child’s Islamic education journey, including attendance, homework, results, fees, notices, events, Islamic content, and messages with teachers or administration.

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App is developed and operated by E26 Media Private Limited, with head office at 5th Floor Shalimar Complex, Near Old Ganesh Medical, Kanakanady, Mangalore - 575002.

This Policy applies to:

• Parents / guardians who create and manage an account in the App

• Students whose educational records are viewed through a linked parent account

• Teachers and administration staff who communicate through the App (where enabled by the madrasa)

Student information is typically provided by the madrasa or entered under school administration workflows. Parents access that information through their linked parent account.

Depending on how the App and your madrasa are configured, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

A. Parent / guardian account information

• Full name and greeting preferences (for example, Assalamu Alaikum display name)

• Email address

• Mobile phone number

• Login credentials (password is stored in hashed / encrypted form; we do not store plain-text passwords)

• Language preference, theme preference (light / dark), and notification preferences

• Support or enquiry messages you send via WhatsApp, call, or in-app contact options

B. Student / child academic information

• Student name, class, section, roll number, and joined date

• Profile photo or initials (if provided)

• Attendance records (present, absent, late, overall percentage)

• Homework assignments, teacher notes, and submission-related updates

• Exam results, grades, percentages, class rank, and related academic notes

• Fee status, fee schedule, pending amounts, due dates, and payment history summaries

• Notices, events, announcements, and related academic-year information

C. Communication and engagement data

• Messages between parents and teachers / administration / groups

• Teacher feedback about student progress

• Push notifications and in-app notification history (attendance, homework, fees, events, feedback)

• Islamic Corner content interactions (for example, viewing daily verse, zikr, or dua content served in the App)

D. Technical and device information

• Device type, operating system, app version, and approximate crash / performance diagnostics

• Login timestamps and basic security logs needed to protect accounts

• IP address and similar technical identifiers where required for security, fraud prevention, or server operation

We do not intentionally collect sensitive biometric data (such as fingerprints or facial recognition templates) through this App version described in the student module.

We use the information above to:

• Provide parent access to linked children’s academic dashboards from one account

• Show today’s summary, attendance, homework, results, fee status, notices, and events

• Deliver notifications about attendance, homework, fee reminders, teacher feedback, and madrasa events

• Enable messaging with teachers, administration, and class groups

• Display Islamic Corner content (verses, zikr, duas) and optional daily Islamic reminders

• Support account security, password changes, and preferred language / theme settings

• Provide customer support through WhatsApp, phone, Help Centre, or administration contact options

• Improve App reliability, fix bugs, and maintain service quality

• Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell personal information to third-party advertisers.

We process information only for the educational administration, communication, and support purposes described in this Policy, and for legitimate interests such as securing the App and improving service quality.

Where required, the madrasa (as the educational institution) remains responsible for deciding what student records are maintained and who may access them. E26 Media processes such data to provide the App as a technology provider for the institution and its authorised parents / staff.

The App is designed for parents / guardians and authorised staff. It is not intended for children to create independent accounts without adult supervision.

Student academic records (attendance, homework, results, fees, and related notes) are educational records shared with linked parents for parental oversight of Islamic education progress.

If you believe a child’s data has been uploaded incorrectly or should be removed or corrected, contact the madrasa administration first, and also contact E26 Media using the details in this Policy so we can help coordinate a correction where appropriate.

We may share information only in these limited situations:

• With your madrasa’s authorised teachers and administrators, so they can manage attendance, homework, results, fees, notices, and messages

• With service providers who help us host, secure, send notifications, or analyse App reliability (under confidentiality and data-processing obligations)

• With payment or fee-related partners only if online payment features are enabled for your madrasa (payment card details, if any, are handled by the payment provider according to their own policy)

• When required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the madrasa, or E26 Media

• In connection with a business transfer (such as merger or acquisition), with continuity of privacy protections where reasonably possible

We do not share parent or student data with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing.

We retain account and academic information for as long as needed to provide the App to your madrasa and linked parents, or as required by the institution’s academic / administrative needs and applicable law.

When a parent account is closed, or when a madrasa ends its use of the App, we will delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or audit purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, hashed passwords, and restricted staff access.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your login credentials, enable a strong password, and log out from shared devices. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and contact us.

The App may request permission to send push notifications so you can receive updates on attendance, homework, fees, events, and teacher feedback. You can manage notification preferences inside the App or in your device settings.

If additional device permissions are requested in a future update (for example camera for profile photo), we will request them in context and only for the stated feature.

The App may offer shortcuts to WhatsApp, phone calling, or external maps / support channels. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Islamic Corner content may include religious text and educational material served within the App. Interaction with that content is used only to provide the feature, not to sell advertising profiles.

Subject to applicable law and madrasa administrative rules, you may:

• Access and review parent profile information in the App

• Update personal information, password, language, theme, and notification preferences

• Request correction of inaccurate account information

• Request deletion of your parent account (student master records may still be retained by the madrasa as part of school administration)

• Withdraw optional consents such as marketing-style reminders where offered (core service notifications may still be necessary for App functionality)

To exercise these rights, use in-App settings where available, or email us at the contact address below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Data may be stored and processed on servers in India and/or other locations used by our hosting providers. Where data is transferred, we take steps designed to keep it protected in line with this Policy and applicable requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect App changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App, email, or website notice where appropriate. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
